A summary of the steps that the London Value Investor Conference and the QE II Conference Centre are taking to deal with any risk from COVID-19 is below.<\/p>\n

Temperature scanning<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Thermal imaging cameras will enforce that anyone with a temperature over 100.4 F (38.0 C) will not be permitted access to any area of the conference venue.<\/p>\n

Social distancing<\/b><\/h3>\n

This November we will move the conference upstairs to a much larger room which has over 21,000 square feet of space (enough room for 1300 people to be seated \u201dnormally\u201d), which gives us the flexibility to sit delegates in a socially-distanced format if this is required.<\/p>\n

Limited\u00a0attendees<\/b><\/h3>\n

We will be limiting the number of attendees\u00a0to ensure that every delegate is seated at a table with adequate space<\/p>\n

Food at your desk<\/h3>\n

Compass Group will be offering a \u201cstay at your desk\u201d food option for speakers and delegates. Open buffets, coffee service and close-contact table service at events has been reconsidered and we look to replace with frictionless methods of food and drink provision. For example, the high-quality bento boxes are a smart and hygienic alternative to traditional plated meals and buffets in catering areas and self-service coffee stations. High-quality hot food will be offered to everyone (this will not be a \u201cpacked lunch\u201d with sandwiches and crisps).<\/p>\n

Biosecurity<\/b><\/h3>\n

Procedures will include temperature screening,\u00a0a no-contact registration with screens;\u00a0sanitising stations with dispensers in all reception, cloakroom areas and lift lobbies; plus regular disinfecting of door handles, push plates, stair rails, lift call buttons, chair arms and lecterns<\/p>\n

We do not know which of the measures above will be required in November but by taking these steps as a precaution the London Value Investor Conference has positioned itself as a leader in adapting to this new environment. Additional measures will be announced before the conference to make the conference even more COVIDSafe.<\/p>\n

Other measures:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  • Room disinfection:<\/strong> Clorox\u00ae room disinfections will take place in between events, including furniture and equipment. High touch points such as door handles, push plates, stair rails and lift call buttons will be cleaned on a continuous cycle throughout the day.<\/li>\n
  • Sneeze screens:<\/strong> Registration will be equipped with free-standing sneeze screens.<\/li>\n
  • Cloakroom:<\/strong> The cloakroom will safely place each item left in a poly garment bag.<\/li>\n
  • Hand sanitiser:<\/strong> Sanitising stations with dispensers are available in reception, cloakroom, lavatories areas plus all lift lobbies.<\/li>\n
