He sets the Group\u2019s overall business and portfolio strategy, and is actively engaged in all aspects of the Group\u2019s activities. In 2007, he led Value Partners to a successful listing in Hong Kong, making it the first and the only asset management company listed in the city. Dato\u2019 Cheah has over 30 years of investment experience and is considered a leading practitioner of value investing in Asia. Prior to founding Value Partners, Dato\u2019 Cheah worked at Morgan Grenfell Group in Hong Kong and had a stint as a financial journalist.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2015, Dato\u2019 CHEAH was appointed a member of the Financial Services Development Council (\u201cFSDC\u201d) by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, following a two-year term as a member of the New Business Committee of FSDC since 2013.
