Anthony Bolton – Fidelity China Special Situations Fund
From December 1979 until end of 2007, Anthony Bolton ran the Fidelity Special Situations Fund. Over this 28 year period the fund achieved a remarkable annualised return of 19.5%, outperforming the market by 6% per annum while the funds under management grew from c.£2m to £6.5bn before the fund was split. £100,000 invested with his fund in 1979 would have been worth £14.7m by the end of 2007, compared to £3.4m in the market. He retired from active fund management in 2007, returning in 2010 to launch the Fidelity China Special Situations Fund which he currently runs from Hong Kong. Anthony will end the conference with a special Q&A session during which he will answer delegates questions on his lifetime of investing experience, China and other topics.
