Jeremy Hosking – an Entrepreneur and Fund Manager
Jeremy Hosking has spent 34 years in institutional investment specialising in equities, with a focus on the USA, SE Asia and some emerging markets. His roles have included stock picking, asset allocation, client servicing and marketing. He is currently in process of registering his own investment advisory firm in Ireland. Jeremy has an eclectic approach to investment and is certainly not a pure Graham and Doddite with growth stocks and deep value plays (many of which dont work out) sitting side by side in his portfolios. Jeremy in the last 15 years has become a convert to the concept of stockmarket pricing inefficiency, and that in consequence there are many attractive shares waiting to be purchased. While the psychological barriers to doing so are significant, an equivalent or greater barrier is found in the institutional arrangements themselves. This should produce a target-rich environment for rational investors.
